Have you noticed Shell on your TikTok feed recently? If you're looking to make waves and connect directly with your audience, TikTok is the place to be. Shell came to us for help with this, and it was surely a wild ride! Here’s an inside look at how we made it happen. Working closely with the Shell Mobility team, we created a TikTok account, on which we provide entertaining, engaging and informative content focused on and around the gas station. We based our strategy on creating organic content.

THE CHALLENGE

Shell approached us with the goal of establishing a strong presence on TikTok, and we knew we had to dive into the freshest trends and vibes. Working closely with the Shell Mobility team, we set up a TikTok account, @ shellstations_nl, focused on entertaining, engaging, and informative content around the gas station experience.

As we focus on organic growth, it is essential that our content is in line with the latest trends, opportunities and developments within TikTok. We strive to be progressive and cannot afford any missteps, as the TikTok community is quick to poke through these.

The Strategy Behind 

Our strategy was rooted in creating organic content. We emphasized the importance of staying in tune with the latest TikTok trends, opportunities, and developments. To stay ahead, we developed an "always-on" strategy, constantly monitoring trends and scheduling multiple recording days per month to ensure we could respond quickly to current developments.

The Disney Collaboration: A Game-Changer

The pivotal moment in our campaign was the collaboration between Shell and Disney. We organized an engaging giveaway of four tickets to Disneyland Paris, which collected significant attention. Four distinct videos were produced, each offering a unique perspective to promote the giveaway. The production days were full of high energy and creativity, incorporating elements such as drone footage and innovative filming techniques to enhance excitement and engagement.  

RESULTS

The results were nothing short of insane. Within just one month of running the Disney campaign, we gained for Shell over 10,000 new followers, racked up more than 50k likes, and garnered countless shares and views. The Shell TikTok launch wasn’t just about making content; it was about telling a story that connected, engaged, and excited the audience. And judging by the epic response, our story was a major hit!
