MAKRO

Makro offers a large assortment for wholesalers and restaurants. From meat and fish to toys and electronics, Makro has it all! To announce Makro's competitive offers and promotions, Makro uses different campaigns. We from Positive have created "De beuk erin!" campaign.

THE CHALLENGE

After years of focusing exclusively on action communication, Makro aims to make a refreshing change. We were searching for a fitting ambassador for a new ambassador campaign for Makro and created authentic content that underscored Makro's transition to the hard discount wholesaler for the hospitality industry in the Netherlands. 

 

OUR WORK

The Positive team went looking for a suitable ambassador and we have found one, Ramon Beuk! With his inspiring dishes he is, in our eyes, the perfect candidate for this campaign.

We developed the new ambassadors campaign for Makro, called ‘Makro gooit de beuk erin, in collaboration with ambassador Ramon Beuk. With this we transformed Makro’s communication strategy form exclusively action-oriented to a fresh approach. All the photos and videos shots are usable year-round for multiple campaigns featuring Ramon.  

RESULTS

Makro and Positive collaborated on the successful "De beuk erin!" campaign, transforming Makro's communication strategy from action-oriented to a fresh approach with ambassador Ramon Beuk. This strategic shift effectively positioned Makro as a hard discount wholesaler for the hospitality industry in the Netherlands. The positive outcome and Makro's satisfaction have led to plans for a second ambassador campaign, with Positive maintaining a leading role, underscoring the campaign's impactful success.
